01. what's your style and approach to wedding photography?

I consider myself a storyteller. It's my job to capture the big moments and the small ones, all of the details, the laughs, the tears, the fun, the expected and the unexpected. I strive to be both present and invisible. I don't want your wedding photos to feel forced and I definitely don't want you to feel like your wedding was a photo shoot. On your wedding day, I'll be both your storyteller and friend. I'll fix your dress, I'll put your veil back in if it falls out, I'll be your hype-man when your nerves start to take over, I've got your back, and every detail of your day.

02. how far in advance do we need to book?

Depending on the month you're getting married, I'm often booked a year or two in advance. I limit the number of weddings that I take on each year to assure that I'll have ample time to focus on each one individually, so it's worth reaching out sooner than later. May and October are, by far, my busiest wedding months and those dates book up fast so don't delay if you've chosen those months! If you have a wedding coming up very soon and are still needing a photographer, please don't be afraid to reach out, I may still have your date open.

03. what equipment do you bring to a wedding?

My main camera is a Nikon D850, but also carry a Nikon D810 and Nikon D750 which are all high-end professional digital cameras. The majority of the time I shoot with a 35mm lens, but I also carry a 50mm, 85mm, 24-70mm, 70-200mm and a 100mm macro lens. I always bring two flashes, as well as light stands in the event that we need additional lighting. And, of course, every piece of equipment in my bag is backed up with a second piece of equipment of equal quality, just in case.

04. are we able to change the details of our wedding day coverage as our wedding day approaches?

Absolutely! It's hard to know, so far in advance, exactly how many hours of coverage you will want and need. It's no trouble at all if you decide to increase or decrease your coverage in the weeks/months leading up to your wedding. A couple of months before your wedding, you will receive a questionnaire from me, in which I will go in and make your wedding day timeline. This, too, will help you determine exactly what you're wanting/needing as far as coverage goes.

05. do we have to know what collection we want before we book you?

No, you do not. The retainer fee is the same for all wedding collections and we never book anything else on the wedding day you reserve. You have plenty of time to decide which collection is right for you!

06. how long after our wedding do we have to wait to get our photos?

The turnaround time varies by season. Typically, in the winter and summer months, I'd have the gallery out within 4-6 weeks, while spring and fall months can easily be more like 6-12 weeks. It really just depends. My contract stipulates a maximum of 12-16 weeks, but I always aim to deliver wedding galleries between 3-8 weeks.
